What to Bring for Grocery Assistance - Initial Certification or Annual Renewals
NERA service area:
11 Zip codes we serve, we want to help.
Our service area zip codes: 74601, 74604, 74641, 74653, 74631, 74632, 74647, 74644, 74651, 74633, 74652
For the first time you will need to bring your ID and a current bill in your name. The next time you come (if it is within 3 months of the first time you came to NERA for help) you will just need your ID. We also encourage you to list a Proxy (a person willing to come and shop for you that you approve of).
If you need groceries right now and do not have the documents needed or are homeless, bring your ID and you will receive an emergency bag (one day’s worth of groceries).
IMPORTANT: These are general rules and for more details the intake personnel will explain.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept a receipt or invoice from a motel or hotel room as your current bill. If an adult in your household is attending school, we may be able to accept their current school schedule. Note that if you are legally-married, your spouse does not need to bring a separate current bill.
NOTE – To shop you must live in a residency in one of the following Zip codes: 74601, 74604, 74641, 74653, 74631, 74632, 74647, 74644, 74651, 74633, 74652

If we can't help, we likely know someone who can. We will take the time to assess your needs and future goals, and then look for ways to either help directly, or to refer you to a local church, charitable organization, or government agency that can better assist.
